Almtal Cycle Paths: Enjoyable Biking Tours in the Salzkammergut
Our cycling tours in the Almtal-Salzkammergut region are suitable for beginners and advanced bikers!
Grünau im Almtal offers 23 different biking tours, including 14 mountain biking trails for all adventure seekers. Cycling at its finest is possible on many (marked) routes through the Almtal and around Grünau im Almtal. The route along the Farrenau mountain road can be cycled to the Hochberghaus and takes leisurely riders on their e-mountain bikes through pleasant forest air up to the sun terrace at the Hochberghaus.
For those who aren't put off by longer tours, the Berge-Seen eTrail , including the branch up to the Hochberghaus on the Kasberg, is highly recommended. Of course, you can divide the sections yourself.
Circumnavigation of the Almsee with Ameisstein, Almtal O.Ö.
From Rabenau to Grünau to the Jagersimmerl and the Almtalerhaus (view of the Zwillingskogel, Gr. Priel and Schermberg). Back to the Jagersimmerl and on foot around the Almsee with an ascent of the Ameisstein with a great view. Return to Rabenau.

Child-friendly bike tour from Grünau im Almtal to Pettenbach - from there return by train. The route to the train station is well signposted, and tickets can be bought from the machine on the train. You will be back at the starting point within half an hour.
